The gas system is balanced today, according to npower’s daily market report.
LNG send out is nominated at 25mcm, which is down from yesterday as the arrival of cargoes has slowed down.
Wind power is generating just above 1GW and solar power is expected to generate 5.4GW later today.
CCGT demand is nominating 33mcm which is 41% of the stack.
The oil market is trading at around $65 a barrel (£42/Bbl).
Alex Guiot from npower’s optimisation desk said: “The euro has lost ground and the £1 is now worth €1.37.”
