A solar energy fund says its annual energy generation for 2017 will be below initial expectations.
Foresight Solar Fund said this is due to engineering works at sites throughout the year and low levels of irradiation, currently down 3% for the year.
Solar irradiance is the power per unit area received from the sun in the form of electromagnetic radiation.
The group says these lower levels of production have been outweighed by financial compensation received through liquidated damages and added it was confident future production will be robust.
The company has also increased the proportion of fixed price electricity sales from its UK portfolio from 7% to 31% due to attractive power prices.
